Doctor Strange 2 Script Is Already Being Written

There's a whole lot of anticipation building up over Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel is preparing a slew of exciting new films and series for fans to flock over, and that includes the Doctor Strange sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

While Marvel hasn't given too many details about the film just yet, the studio did tell fans that Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme would be accompanied by another fan-favorite Marvel hero, Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch. Now, Olsen gives fans a bit of an update about the film, saying that Doctor Strange 2's script is currently in the works.

Olsen went on an interview with MTV News during the 2019 D23 Expo last weekend, and during her discussion with the entertainment news outlet, the Marvel star was asked about whether or not her upcoming Disney+ series, WandaVision, would tie-in together with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

"Yes. Yes, it does," Olsen confirmed of the tie-in. "But I don't... I think they're writing that right now, but I don't really know much about it."

The actress also said that she was excited to work together with Marvel's Doctor Strange star, saying that she never really got to work together with Cumberbatch in the MCU before.

"I've never really got to work with him except for one shot where he was landing, and I was shooting something, and that was it. And we did that for like six hours one day together," the actress admitted.

The Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch team-up really is exciting. The heroes have worked closely in the comics before. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is going to be the first film where we get to see the characters team-up together on the big screen.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set for release on May 7, 2021.
