Doctor Strange 2 Could Introduce Major Fantastic Four Character

We already know that Stephen Strange and Scarlet Witch will be the major players in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. But will they actually be joined by an unexpected new character? A new report suggests that the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel will actually introduce a terrifying villain who once terrorized the Fantastic Four.

It's no secret that Marvel Studios is eager to pursue a Fantastic Four reboot now that the characters have been acquired by Disney through the 20th Century Fox acquisition. However, there is a possibility that the studio will not jump into a reboot immediately and will be introducing the characters gradually into the MCU. For starters, Screenrant has pointed out that there is a huge possibility that Doctor Doom will debut in Doctor Strange 2.

It wouldn't be a huge surprise if Victor Von Doom shows up in the Doctor Strange sequel. After all, the villain already has connections to the Sorcerer Supreme as well as Wanda Maximoff in the comic books.

But who will play Doctor Doom? It was previously reported that The Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito may have hinted at being interested in the role. However, the casting has not yet been confirmed. In the meantime, we'll be waiting for an update from Marvel Studios.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will star Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. The film is expected to begin production by next year and is already scheduled for release on March 25, 2022.
