Doctor Strange 2: Charlize Theron Breaks Silence on Her Surprise MCU Role

The mid-credits scene of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness featured the introduction of Clea played by none other than Charlize Theron. Her surprise appearance delighted a lot of fans who were happy to see the Oscar-winning actress join the franchise in what looks like a pivotal role in the future moving forward.

Days after the film was released in theaters, Theron finally broke her silence regarding her surprise appearance in the latest MCU installment by posting a photo of herself as Clea on Twitter with the caption, "Meet Clea." This is the first time that she publicly made any reference to her surprise MCU role. You can check her post below:

While she didn't make any extensive comments yet about her joining the MCU, it's still great to hear her reference it on social media and perhaps we might be hearing behind-the-scenes stories soon regarding how she was approached to play the character in the franchise as well as their plans for her in the future.

For months, there have been rumors that Theron will make a cameo appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to play a well-known character from the comics, but of course, we didn't get any confirmation regarding it until the film's release.

In my experience at the screening where I watched the film, there were cheers from the audience when she showed up during the mid-credits scene which is a sign that a lot of fans are happy to welcome her to the MCU and learn more about her character in whatever future MCU project that she'll appear in whether it's the third Doctor Strange film or the others. Either way, it's always great to hear a talented and award-winning actor join the MCU.
