Do You Want to Explore This K-2SO & Cassian Rogue One Spin-off?

Either C-3PO or R2-D2 may be among most iconic and well-loved droids in the Star Wars franchise. However, in just a span of an entire spin-off movie, K-2SO pretty much stole our hearts with that sarcastic demeanor and passive-aggressive burns to Jyn.

And even though we shared the proverbial tear or two during his death scene, Hal Hickel and Alan Tudyk discussed in a recent interview (via Movieweb) how exactly they think the beloved Kaytoo can be brought back to the big screen.

Hickel's idea was pretty cool, mostly because it doesn't rely on odd droid resurrections. If anything, it was a little detail that could totally be used in the succeeding Star Wars canon saga somehow.

"To be honest, I'd love to imagine somehow or other, was it you (Tudyk) that was saying when he extracts the information from the other droid that maybe he actually downloaded your stuff into his head, somebody was telling me this and I was like, ‘Oh my god, that's a great idea,' and then maybe that droid—because it was somewhere else in the complex—survived the big blast."

For Tudyk, his idea would bring back another Rogue One favorite:

"How about this one, Cassian and how he finds Kaytoo and some of their adventures together before they got all this baggage."

This kind of spin-off will definitely explore another realm in the Star Wars saga. But that's not all—if given the possibility, a crossover with Star Wars Rebels would definitely be a great way to advance Kaytoo's presence.

What do you think of these possibilities? Do you want to see more of Kaytoo?

Rogue One is already out in digital HD and will be headed to DVD and Blu-ray this April 4.
