Disney’s Dumbo Reboot Gets A Great New Poster

Marry Poppins may be returning this December, but early next year we'll be seeing Disney's remake of Dumbo. Tim Burton is at the helm of the film, and we get a new poster featuring all the characters as well as the titular flying elephant.

Here's the official synopsis:

Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.

If you've watched the animation, you'll know that this live action film has dropped the talking animals and have replaced them with new human characters made specifically for the movie. There are still a lot of nods to the original though. We get a mouse in a uniform to stand in for Timothy Mouse, plus Dumbo still has his magic feather, and it looks like we're getting a Pink Elephants sequence.

I don't know about you, but if Burton doesn't give us a full-on creepshow with this film and his pink elephants, I think a lot of fans are going to be let down. After all, it's one of the creppiest scenes to ever make it to a Disney film.

If anything, a lot of positive reception has come the way of Dumbo, and everyone can't wait for the movie to come out on March 29, 2019.
