Disney has Ordered a Re-Edit of Trailer for The Mandalorian Season 2

A lot of people were sure that we were going to get the trailer for The Mandalorian Season 2 during the NBA playoffs, but we got nothing, and fans are once again wondering when we're going to get our first look at the second season. What's news is, Disney is apparently ordering a re-edit of the preview.

This has been confirmed by Kessell Run Transmissions' Noah Outlaw:

Take in mind that this was a reply to a report by Grace Randolph who claims that Disney also has a major problem with the way the second season is handled. For now, though, it seems unlikely that Disney would have a problem with the overall season; I mean, shouldn't they have brought it up during pre-production while the scripts were being made? If anything, Randolph has had a ‘reputation' so it's best to take what she's saying with a grain of salt.

If anything, the re-edit could have something to do with the Ahsoka footage that was said to have been shot a few weeks ago. They say that the shoot was specifically for the trailer, and it would be great to finally see Rosario Dawson in that Ahsoka make-up. Let's just hope Lucasfilm has made it worth the wait.

For now, we have no idea when we're going to get our first look at Mando 2. With the Star Wars Celebration canceled this year, a lot of people think that it could be revealed via a virtual event. After the success of DC FanDome, it's possible that Disney will be thinking of going this route. We don't have any official announcements yet, but fingers crossed we finally get something in September, seeing that the show is expected to premiere the next month.

The Mandalorian Season 2 is expected to hit Disney+ this October.
