Disney+ Debuts New X-Men Avatars, Teasing Animated Series Revival


People already have a lot of avatars to choose from on Disney+ however it looks like the streaming service has added even more awesome options. The application has just included several X-Men characters to its avatars and it is fueling speculations that the mutants' animated series could be getting a revival.

According to ComicBookMovie, Disney+ added the new avatars on April 1 but it's not just another April Fools prank. You can now choose between characters like Wolverine, Rogue, Cyclops, Magneto, and even Professor X as your avatar on the streaming service.

Not surprisingly, seeing mutants on Disney+ already has fans excited. After all, it could mean that the X-Men will now show up on the streaming service. The addition of the X-Men as avatars also came at an interesting time. Right before the mutants became avatar options, there were speculations that Disney and Marvel are planning to reviveX-Men: The Animated Series.

The animated series premiered on the Fox Kids Network back in 1992 and the show lasted for five seasons. It focused on Cyclops, Wolverine, Rogue, Storm, Beast, Gambit, Jubilee, Jean Grey, and Professor X. In addition to that, the series also introduced new characters like Morph into the line-up.

For now, it is unclear if Disney and Marvel are working on a revival of the X-Men animated series. However, it seems like a great idea and we're hoping that this will be confirmed later this year.
