Disney Allegedly Wants Billy Dee Williams Back as Lando Calrissian as Well

News had come out yesterday that Donald Glover will be coming back to the role of Lando Calrissian for a Disney+ series, but a big part of that rumor is also that Disney wants the OG Lando, Billy Dee Williams, to make a comeback.

According to Kessel Run Tranmissions, Lucasfilm is interested in continuing the story of Lando Calrissian and his supposed daughter Jannah (from The Rise of Skywalker). News on this isn't as solid as the one with Donald Glover, but I can imagine they can tell a miniseries where older Lando retells his story to Jannah and flashbacks are told with young Donald Glover's young Lando.

While Luke, Han, and Leia had integral parts in the Sequel Trilogy, Lando was more of a fly on the wall, without really doing anything too relevant in the film. This miniseries could remedy that, and we can have Billy Dee Williams do more with his character this time around. Same goes for Naomie Ackie and Jannah.

This is just a pitch, but since nobody is expecting Billy Dee Williams to be going around and doing action scenes, maybe the series can follow Jannah with a hologram recording of a now-dead Lando narrating the Calrissian Chronicles, and then we have flashbacks of young Lando. What's great about the title is, it's not about one specific Calrissian, and Jannah gets to be a main character as well.

We don't know when this Lando series will happen, but with Cassian Andor taking 2021 and Kenobi coming out 2022, I think this Calrissian Chronicles show could come out in 2023.
