Donald Glover Returning as Lando Calrisian in Disney+ Series

Though Solo: A Star Wars Story underperformed in the box office, there is a good chunk of the fandom that still wants to #MakeSolo2Happen. While we have no idea when Han Solo is going to make a return, it looks like one other smuggler is coming back in some way.

According to Kessel Run Transmissions, Donald Glover is going to be returning as Lando Calrissian for a Disney+ series. Here's the reveal:

We don't have any details on how Lando will make a comeback, but best-case scenario is that he's going to be starring in his own show, hopefully titled The Calrissian Chronicles—which was teased in Solo. We don't know who else could be on the show, but I would love to see the return of the Falcon as well as Lando's co-pilot L3-37. Hopefully Phoebe Waller-Bridge would be open to coming back too.

In any case, it's possible it could be cameos in other Disney+ shows. He could very well be in the Cassian Andor or Obi-Wan series. The way Glover is busy with his rap career as well as his own shows, it's possible Lucasfilm has only signed him up for small guest appearances.

With Lando coming back, I'm really hopeful that this is a sign that Solo 2 could happen. The movie has been getting better reviews over the years since it came out, and its recent release in Disney+ is also allowing more people to give it a chance.

We don't know when Lando returns, but The Mandalorian Season 2 is set to come to Disney+ this October.
