Did Wheel of Time Series Already Reveal Dragon Reborn's Identity?

In most books, the protagonist is revealed right away. However, this isn't the case with The Wheel of Time novel series. Although we know that Moiraine Damodred is looking for the Dragon Reborn, it is unclear who it is among the young people she had gathered. But did the series adaptation already drop us a huge hint? Was the champion of the Light already revealed in the show's first three episodes?

The Wheel of Time premiered last week, dropping its first three episodes before going with a weekly release starting this week. In these episodes, we meet Rand al'Thor, Perrin Aybara, Mat Cauthon, and Egwene al'Vere, the four candidates who could be the Dragon's reincarnation. By the end of Episode 3, we are introduced to Logain Ablar, who claims to be the Dragon Reborn.

So that's it, Logain is the Dragon Reborn. Or is he? The real Dragon may have already been revealed in the same episode when he went up against a Darkfriend.

In A Place of Safety, Rand tried to break down a large door in the tavern. The Darkfriend taunts him, telling him he doesn't have the strength to break it down. However, Rand manages to tear the door down, leaving the Darkfriend in shock.

Most viewers would assume this is proof of Rand's physical strength. However, there are also speculations that the boy broke the door down by channelling the One Power within him.

It's an impressive feat and there is little doubt we'll be seeing more of Rand's possible power in the next few episodes. With that in mind, we can't wait to see what happens next in The Wheel of Time.

The fourth episode of The Wheel of Time is titled The Dragon Reborn. The new episode will air on Amazon Prime on Friday, November 26, 2021.
