The MandoVerse's expansion is in full swing and the first episode of The Mandalorian's third season may have just set up the arrival of a fan-favorite character who is poised to make their live-action debut soon. After his brief conversation with The Armorer, Din Djarin and Grogu head to Nevarro to pay Greef Karga a visit. With the use of hyperspace, the dynamic duo jumped from one planet to another with ease and along the way, the Force-wielding child noticed silhouettes of a whale-like creature that bears striking resemblance to Purrgils.

For the uninitiated, Purrgils are semi-sentient whales that have the innate ability to traverse across the galaxy through hyperspace. The creatures have a connection to Ezra Bridger who is able to summon them through the Force. Ezra even utilizes them in a ploy against Grand Admiral Thrawn. Now, the real question is, was Ezra actually riding one of the Purrgils Baby Yoda saw? I guess only time will tell.

Lucasfilm has yet to confirm whether or not the creatures Grogu saw were actually Purrgils so it's still a little too early to get excited. But of course, the idea of them appearing in the MandoVerse doesn't seem farfetched at all, especially with the confirmation that Ezra will be making his live-action appearance in the upcoming Ahsoka show along with other Star Wars Rebels characters.

The Mandalorian Season 3's first episode is now streaming on Disney+.
