Did The Bad Batch Episode 1 Tease at Clone Wars [SPOILERS] Return?

If you've tuned in to the premiere of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, there's a good chance you're loving all the awesome cameos in Episode 1. However, it looks like we'll also be seeing a forgotten Star Wars: The Clone Wars character next week.

WATCH OUT! The following contains SPOILERS from Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode 1! Proceed with caution!

Fans finally learned what happened to Clone Force 99 when Palpatine executed Order 66. Interestingly, they were in Kaller assisting Jedi Knights Depa Billaba and Caleb Dume when it all went down. However, Hunter, Echo, Wrecker and Tech refused to follow their orders, leading Crosshair to report them to Moff Tarkin.

Unfortunately, Crosshair gets reprogrammed to turn against his teammates who have gone rogue. Hunter, Wrecker, Tech and Echo are forced to escape without him but they take the young clone Omega with them as they consider their next move.

Interestingly, Hunter states that they know someone who could help them then proceeds to order Tech to plot a course for J-19. A quick check on this sector confirms it contains the Saleucami system where a Clone deserter resides.

The Clone Wars fans would remember that Cut Lawquane lives in Saleucami with his family after he abandoned his fellow clones on a mission. Captain Rex had since found Cut and tried to bring him in but decided against it when he began to understand Cut's motives.

There is a huge possibility that Hunter is actually referring to Cut considering the latter is the only one we know is still in Saleucami. It would be great to see what has happened to Cut since then so we're looking forward to catching up with him in the next episode of The Bad Batch.

Do you think Clone Force 99 will meet up with Cut Lawquane in The Bad Batch Episode 2? Sound off in the comments below. In the meantime, Episode 1 is now streaming on Disney+.
