Did Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's Final Trailer Confirm [SPOILERS] Death?

The final Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer is here and it's everything we wanted, being incredibly vague while also giving us some cool eye candy to have discussions about. There was a lot to decipher from the trailer, from more Reylo teases to all the ships that passed by, and we mean actual space ships. However, one moment that has fans talking involves the clumsy but lovable C-3PO.

You see, judging from the trailer, it looks like C-3PO is going to die.

We see the new alien character fixing up C-3PO as Poe Dameron asks the droid what he's doing. C-3PO then states that he is taking one last look at his friends, which might get a lot of Star Wars fans to burst into tears. After all, 3PO has been around since the original movies and voiced by the same actor Anthony Daniels, so fans are going to watch for this scene alone.

Obviously, a lot of contexts are missing from this scene so the scene might just be a death tease for the droid and not an actual sacrifice. Then again, C-3PO sounded pretty serious in the scene and Rey's tears had fans thinking that this will be a big death for the iconic Star Wars droid. We'll just have to wait and see.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be coming to theaters on December 20. Will it be better than The Last Jedi? We'll have to wait and see.
