Star Wars fans have been mega-hyped for the arrival of Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi series for months now but the excitement only grew exponentially after Lucasfilm unleashed the show's first official teaser trailer. The teaser didn't give away much but it didn't stop diehards from going full-on detective mode once again in search of clues and easter eggs most of us might have missed the first time around.

Lo and behold, fans might have actually discovered a cameo from a beloved Star Wars legend hiding in plain sight. Eagle-eyed fans like Twitter user @ggooblr are convinced that Temuera Morrison will appear in the upcoming series and even posted evidence that The Book of Boba Fett star is involved in Obi-Wan. The scene that sparked the entire discourse features the Grand Inquisitor threatening a citizen of the new planet Daiyu who allegedly resembles the New Zealand actor.

Of course, assuming Morrison is in fact part of the project, common sense would tell you that he won't be playing Boba Fett who would be in his late teens in the show's timeline.

Of course, we only saw the back of the mystery character in question so it's hard to jump to conclusions right away. However, it's worth noting that Commander Cody, who was last seen in Revenge of the Sith has long been rumored to appear in Obi-Wan so if the man we saw in the trailer is in fact Morrison, it shouldn't come as a surprise especially with Cody being a crucial part in the orchestration of Order 66. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Obi-Wan Kenobi begins streaming on May 25th, exclusively on Disney+.
