After months of anticipation, Loki finally premiered its debut episode and it's already safe to assume that the series will spawn a lot of outrageous theories that could even match the assumptions Marvel fans had with WandaVision. Speaking of, the opening salvo of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's fourth phase was home to countless theories about iconic villain Mephisto but in the end, Marvel's version of the devil himself was nowhere to be found.

Episode 1 of Loki is once again bringing Mephisto back into the conversation as viewers have come to a conclusion that he will play a major part in the series as its main antagonist. When the episode introduces fans to Owen Wilson's character Mobius M. Mobius, we see him travel back to 1549 as he investigates what exactly happened in a cathedral in France.

Intriguingly, as he was talking to a young girl, we see a glass mural of what looks to be a demonic creature and unsurprisingly, fans were led to believe that it's another teaser of the devious villain's eventual arrival to the franchise, only this time around, the "evidence" is obviously there. Now, Marvel Studios have kept mum about the potential of Mephisto being featured in Phase 4 but I certainly think we'll see him sooner rather than later.

Of course, a glass mural doesn't exactly confirm his involvement in the show and if anything, WandaVision taught fans to lower expectations and not cling too much to internet theories, regardless of how good they actually sound.
