Following the events of the first 365 Days movie, which saw Laura imprisoned for 365 days until she fell in love with Massimo, the head of the Torricelli crime family, 365 Days: This Day picks up the story after that huge cliffhanger.

The beginning of the sequel reveals that Laura survived the assassination attempt inside of the tunnel, and she's reunited with Massimo, so they can finally hold their highly-anticipated wedding.

However, after the couple enjoys more sex during their honeymoon, but this period is short-lived as the head of the crime family reverts back to his old, controlling ways.

As the movie progresses, Laura’s bestfriend Olga (Magdalena Lamparksa) begins dating Massimo’s new right-hand man, Domenico (Otar Saralidze), and the two are passionate for each other.

The central couple's relationship is complicated yet again by Massimo's dangerous family connections and the introduction of a mysterious "gardener" named Marcelo "Nacho" Matos (Simone Susinna) who starts to care for Laura after she catches who appears to be Massimo cheating with his former lover, Anna.

However, it turns out that it's not actually Massimo but his twin brother, Adriano, who devised a dark plan with Anna to ruin Massimo's life.

After trying to run away from Massimo, Nacho takes Laura to his home, and Laura starts fantasizing him in sexual acts. The pair even enjoy some time at the beach, but she soon discovers his secret.

Laura's story takes another unexpected twist as it's revealed that Nacho is the son of Don Fernando Matos, the head of a Spanish crime gang who is rivals with Massimo, and hopes to use Laura as leverage to get Massimo to give up control of his criminal organization to Adriano.

Massimo and Nacho come face-to-face, but they discover that Laura was taken by the wrong bodyguard when she arrived at the meeting. The two men run to find her, and discover Laura being confronted by Adriano and Anna.

Adriano is holding Laura hostage, taunting his twin brother about Laura's miscarriage. However, before Massimo can deal with that truth, Laura tries to break free but is shot by Anna, who is shot by Nacho in turn. Masimo then shoots Adriano before his twin can can shoot him.

Nacho leaves the scene, looking unhappy about Laura getting hurt, leaving us wondering if Laura survived the shot.

No, Laura did not die in the end of 365 Days: This Day.

While the sequel ended with another cliffhanger, leaving fans wondering if Laura survived the shot, Netflix already released the third film, The Next 365 Days, which confirmed that Laura survived the gunshot.

The 365 Days movies are based on the trilogy of erotic novels by Blanka Lipińska. The first movie is based on the first novel, 365 Days; the second film 365 Days: This Day is based on the second novel, This Day; and the third movie will be based on the third book, The Next 365 Days. The English version of the novel will be released this September.

If you read the third book, you already know that Laura survives the shooting thanks to a fast-acting doctor, so her story is clearly not over. However, while the bullet wound doesn't kill Laura, she is set for more challenges ahead as her relationship with Massimo becomes more complicated.

The end of 365 Days: This Day sets up her plot from which she recovers, runs away from Nacho, and gets kidnapped by Massimo, once again, in an attempt to make her fall back in love with him. There's also a scene wherein Massimo kills Laura's dog, but it looks like they cut out that brutal scene from the streamer's adaptation.

The novel also answers the question about who Laura will end up with: Massimo or Nacho?
