Detective Pikachu Gets a Blade Runner-Inspired Poster, Seriously

Detective Pikachu has gotten fans a bit more excited now that the first trailer has arrived, with many of us being impressed by the "realistic" Pokemon. While the movie's quality isn't known yet, at least fans aren't so down on it right now. Hopefully, the film ends up being a quality watch for regular fans and new viewers alike, with most of us just hoping that it will provide is with a laugh or two.

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have released a Bladerunner-like poster that shows the neon city and a shadow for Pikachu, shaped like a cool lightning bolt. The poster is actually really well done and many will enjoy how it satires one of the grittier police dramas out there. Expect the film to have similar police jokes, like the Mr. Mime one in the trailer.

Finding that they are uniquely equipped to communicate with one another, Tim and Pikachu join forces on a thrilling adventure to unravel the tangled mystery.
