The first episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2's Entertainment District arc was an exciting one although it didn't immediately take us to the Yoshiwara red-light district. Still, Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 8 gave us a glimpse at what to look forward to in the future. In addition to that, we got our first look at the other mysterious main villain in the new story arc!

Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 8 focused mostly on Tanjiro Kamado's visit to the Rengoku family and his recovery after the events in the Mugen Train arc. It was only in the last few minutes that Tengen Uzui was introduced, setting up the new mission to the Entertainment District.

Although we didn't see much, the new Demon Slayer Season 2 opening sequence did drop several hints about the future. At one point, we see the young Demon Slayers looking around in the Yoshiwara red-light district. In addition to that, we see Daki, the demon who will be the main villain in the Entertainment District arc.

Interestingly, Daki isn't the only major baddie here. Some eagle-eyed fans have spotted the mysterious Gyutaro, the other major villain in the new story arc. Gyutaro is just as powerful as Daki, maybe even stronger, and he is definitely someone to watch out for in the next few episodes.

The Entertainment District arc is set in the Yoshiwara red-light district where Uzui and the young Demon Slayers are investigating demons who have been attacking innocent people. But will they manage to take down the powerful Upper Moon demons who have been hiding in plain sight? We can't wait to find out next week.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 9 is titled Infiltrating the Entertainment District ("Yukaku Sen'nyu") and is the second episode in the Yukaku-hen story arc. The new episode will air on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 11:15 PM JST.
