It's Demon Slayer Sunday and that means we have yet another exciting episode of the Entertainment District arc to look forward to. But what exactly is happening in Season 2 Episode 16? The previous episode of Yukaku-hen showed how the Demon Slayer Corps could take on Daki and Gyutaro as Tengen Uzui shared how the Upper Rank demons could finally be defeated. But will Tanjiro Kamado have what it takes to ultimately decapitate Gyutaro?
In Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 15, Gyutaro was caught off-guard when Hinatsuru shot several kunai darts at him. Uzui took that opportunity to cut off the demon's legs, which didn't regenerate immediately since the kunai were laced with Wisteria extract. The episode concludes with Tanjiro preparing to decapitate Gyutaro.
Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 16: Will Tanjiro Manage to Kill Gyutaro?
It would be great to see Tanjiro being the big hero who decapitates Gyutaro and get the upper hand for the Demon Slayers. However, things might not work out as easily considering that Gyutaro is a lot more powerful than an average demon.
The Wisteria extract should be able to incapacitate a demon for several hours. However, it is best to remember that Gyutaro and his sister are Upper Rank Six demons which makes them stronger and more powerful than most demons. This could also mean that they have a certain resistance against the Wisteria extract and would still be able to continue fighting despite being hit by the kunai darts.
If Gyutaro can continue to fight, this could also spell trouble for Hinatsuru who had been the one who shot him with the Wisteria-laced kunai darts. Will Tanjiro and Uzui manage to keep Gyutaro from attacking Hinatsuru? We'll find out today.
