There is little doubt that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 got more exciting after the events in Episode 13. After all, fans finally got to see Tanjiro Kamado doing his best to fight Daki to the point that he actually passes out. However, the awesome action sequences were not the only amazing things we got in Yukaku-hen Episode 6. We actually learned something new about Hinokami Kagura, thanks to a character who is seeking redemption!

In Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 13, Tanjiro continued his fight with Daki which was interrupted when her obi returned to her body. The obi's return triggered a transformation in the demon, showing off her true form and making her stronger. This causes disaster as she lashes out at a man admonishing Tanjiro and destroys all the nearby houses.

The destruction enrages Tanjiro and he chases after the escaping Daki who mocks him saying he is just a rotting corpse. At this point, Tanjiro recalls a letter sent by Shinjuro Rengoku. In the letter, Kyojuro's father apologizes for his actions when he first met Tanjiro, admitting that he is proud of his sons. Shinjuro then reveals that Sun Breathing users are identified by a red birthmark on their forehead.

It's an interesting revelation considering that Shinjuro had previously refused to address Tanjiro properly because he believed the boy was a Sun Breathing user. However, it confirms that he knows a lot about the Breathing technique that closely resembles the Kamado's Hinokami Kagura.

While we still have a lot to learn about Hinokami Kagura, fans also got a glimpse at another Sun Breathing user in Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 13. As Tanjiro scolds Daki for not caring about human lives, she suddenly recalls the words of a mysterious swordsman who is also wearing hanafuda earrings and bears a red birthmark on his forehead.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 14 is titled Transformation ("Henbo") which is a reference to the manga's 83rd chapter. Yukaku-hen Episode 7 will premiere on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at 11:15 PM JST.
