Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 12: What Happened to Tengen Uzui's Wives?

There is little doubt that Tengen Uzui truly cares about his wives. After all, their disappearance was the reason why the Sound Hashira recruited Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira to infiltrate the Yoshiwara red-light district. With that in mind, we wouldn't have Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 if Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru didn't go missing in the Entertainment District in the first place. But will we finally find out what happened to the missing women in Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 12?

In the previous episode of Demon Slayer Season 2, Tanjiro and Inosuke didn't realize that Zenitsu had gone missing. However, Tengen Uzui was already aware of the disappearance when he met with them on the roof of the Ogimoto House. He then tells his companions that Tanjiro and Inosuke should leave the district as he will continue on the mission on his own.

Tengen Uzui later appears in the Kyogoku House to ask the master of the house about Hinatsuru and Zenitsu's whereabouts. The master informs him that Hinatsuru had been sent away to a low-end brothel because she had become ill while Zenitsu had gone missing. When pressed, the man finally reveals that it is Warabihime Oiran who has been causing trouble in the house.

Uzui is clearly determined to find his wives on his own and that's where we'll find him in Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 12. But will it be too late to save Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru? The truth will be revealed tonight.

Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 12 is also the fifth episode of the anime's Entertainment District arc. It is officially titled Things Are Gonna Get Real Flashy!! ("Dohade ni Ikuze!!"). Yukaku-hen Episode 4 is scheduled to air on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at 11:30 PM JST.
