The hype for Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) continues following the recent announcements and updates about the series. The movie, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, dominated the US box office during its theatrical release last April—even becoming the highest-grossing anime film globally.
In light of the pandemic, some fans opted to wait out for the other available options where they can watch the movie. Recently, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train has broken yet another record in terms of home release sales.
For fans who prefer to stream, the time has finally arrived—Mugen Train is coming to an online streaming platform tomorrow.
Funimation has confirmed that they will be streaming Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) The Movie: Mugen Train on their platform starting June 22, 2021. Fans will finally be able to see more of Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, and Zenitsu within their own homes. They're also finally going to see more of Rengoku, the Flame Hashira.
Mugen Train continues after the events of Season 1, covering Chapters 54 to 69 in the manga. The story follows Tanjiro's group as they assist Kyojuro Rengoku on a mission aboard the Infinity Train. There they meet Enmu, a demon with a Dream Manipulation ability—who's been tasked to kill Tanjiro and other demon slayers.
Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) The Movie: Mugen Train will be available to stream in Japanese with English subtitles and an English dub.
Is Demon Slayer: Mugen Train on Netflix?
Unfortunately, there are no updates yet as to whether Demon Slayer: Mugen Train will be made available on other streaming platforms. For now, it is currently exclusive to Funimation only.
The second season, titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba — Yukaku-hen, is expected to premiere in October 2021.
