The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise has been a resounding success for some time now and it looks like it has no plans of slowing down. The latest achievement for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train is a new record for limited-edition Blu-ray discs and other home releases.

According to Anime News Network, Oricon has confirmed that Mugen Train sold 268,000 limited-edition Blu-ray Discs on its first day of release on Wednesday, June 16. In addition to that, the anime film sold 218,000 regular-edition DVDs. This brings the home release total to 486,000 discs in just one day.

Not surprisingly, Oricon confirmed that the Demon Slayer movie has topped both the daily Blu-ray Disc and daily DVD sales ranking charts.
