Demon Slayer: 'Kyojuro Rengoku' Donates 100K Yen to Japanese City Hall

Kyojuro Rengoku has been a true inspiration to Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira after what happened in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie - Mugen Train. However, it looks like the young members of the Demon Slayer Corps were not the only ones who were inspired by the Flame Hashira. A mysterious donation of 100,000 yen was made to a Japanese city hall in honor of the beloved character. In addition to that, the donor insisted that the money should be used to help the people!

Livedoor confirms that the act of kindness happened in the Saitama Prefecture in Japan. The staff of the Fujimi City Hall found an envelope containing 100,000 yen (about US$860) in the building's comment box. The patron indicated that the money should be used "for the good of the people" and was simply signed "Kyojuro Rengoku."

The City of Fujimi was understandably overwhelmed by the large donation. They now plan to use the donation for social welfare projects, including support for the elderly and disabled. It's certainly something that the Flame Hashira would be proud of.

Kyojuro Rengoku was initially introduced in the first season of Demon Slayer before playing a key role in Mugen Train. Although Rengoku was initially one of the Hashiras who was opposed to Nezuko being part of the Corps, he changed his mind after seeing how she fought to save humans. The Flame Hashira also watched over Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke throughout the film and they would later mourn his death.

Despite being dead in the Entertainment District arc timeline, Rengoku made a surprise appearance in Demon Slayer Season 2. In a post-credits scene, Tengen Uzui sees a vision of the Flame Hashira who assures him that his sword skills are excellent and leaves the young Demon Slayers in Uzui's care.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
