Demon Slayer’s Entertainment District arc has ended with an emotional shift but also left some hints on what the next arc will be all about. We had a first look for the Upper Moon Rank 2 Demon, Douma, and a potential Hashira takes over by Obanai Iguro after Tengen Uzui declares retirement. But is he really going to retire from the Demon Slayer Corps?
Entertainment District's arc focused on the ‘flamboyant’ Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui’s journey together with Inosuke, Zenitsu, Nezuko, and Tanjiro. Their mission is to find Tengen’s three wives and kill the demon infiltration the Entertainment district.
While the arc’s mystery unravels, they discovered the demons hiding behind the entertainment district; Daki and Gyutaro. Daki and Gyutaro are Upper Moon Rank 6 and was revealed as the main villain for this season.
Daki first appeared as a good-looking demon that disguises as an Oiran and Gyutaro apparently hide inside Daki’s body. The Upper Moons and Tengen had an epic battle together with Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu. This battle revealed that the 3 main characters of the film have finally improved as the story progresses. Tanjiro can now use Sun-Breathing but not perfect as it results in numbness or pain in his body. An epic battle also happened between Nezuko and Daki happened, where we witnessed a Demon Form of Nezuko which quickly overpowered Daki.
The Demon Slayer corps have succeeded in defeating the Upper Moons after trying to slash their heads countless times. The team had multiple injuries and Tengen Uzui lost his arm during the battle but still gave an enthralling fight with the demons.
Obanai Iguro, the Serpent Hashira appeared in the scene after the battle and seems to be still doubtful of the Sound Hashira’s achievement. Tengen Uzui discussed that he will be retiring from the Demon Slayer corps to fulfill his wife’s wish. He also notes that he will be useless in the battle after losing an arm.
But are we still going to see more of The Sound Hashira?
Fortunately, yes. He will be retiring as Hashira but he will, later on, become a teacher for the new recruits for the Demon Slayer corps. He will assist in training new recruits to develop their full potential as Demon Slayer.
Tengen also believes that Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke are going to be the best version of themselves and that all of them are going to be Hashira.
Entertainment District made us love Tengen Uzui’s flashy character and no hopes lost because he will still be in the Demon Slayer corps. Though it’s unlikely that he will be a Hashira again, we’ll definitely see him in the future season.
Demon Slayer’s Swordsmith Village arc is confirmed but the release date is still unknown.
