Death on the Nile's Star-Studded Cast Includes Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, and More

Kenneth Branagh had found success with his adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express, and he's set to start working on the sequel, Death on the Nile. Just in, 20th Century Fox has announced the full cast, and it's definitely as star-studded as the first movie.

Here's the entire breakdown:

Here's the plot summary for the film:

While on vacation on the Nile, Hercule Poirot must investigate the murder of a young heiress.

No doubt the biggest stars are Gal Gadot, Letitia Wright, and Armie Hammer, but we also have Annette Bening, Ali Fazal, Sophie Okonedo, Tom Bateman, Emma Mackey, Dawn French, Rose Leslie, Jennifer Saunders, and Russell Brand. Of course, Kenneth Branagh is also going to be reprising the role of Inspector Hercule Poirot.

When Murder on the Orient Express came out back in 2017, it gained enough good reviews to merit the sequel. Admittedly, the story's twist was so infamous that they had to change it for the film to keep it surprising, but personally I wasn't a fan of the revelation that everyone had participated in the murder.

Hopefully things turn out better for Death on the Nile. Besides the story, Branagh has been praised for the production value of his film, and undoubtedly Murder looked fantastic scene after scene. Let's hope he manages to improve upon his work when it comes to the sequel.

Catch Death on the Nile when it comes out Oct. 9, 2020.
