Deadpool and Wolverine director Shawn Levy recently opened up about Hugh Jackman's comic-accurate suit and revealed who came up with the idea.

One of the parts in Deadpool and Wolverine that fans have been looking for is Hugh Jackman's comic-accurate suit as Logan which we've seen being teased in the trailers and first-look photos that they released in the past few months.

In his 24-year tenure as Wolverine, Jackman never wore the character's iconic yellow suit. Fortunately, it all changes this month as we will finally see him sport the comic-accurate costume for the first time.

Shawn Levy on the Origins of Hugh Jackman's Comic-Accurate Suit in Deadpool and Wolverine

While addressing the crowd at the Deadpool and Wolverine fan event in Shanghai, Levy explained the origins of Jackman's comic-accurate suit and revealed who came up with the idea.

As it turns out, it was Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige who wanted Jackman to finally wear the comic-accurate Wolverine suit in the film.

"He said, 'Yes, but he wears the yellow. Can he finally wear the yellow?' And we began," the director told the fans.

And just like that, thanks to Feige's suggestion, we will be seeing Jackman wear the iconic yellow suit in the film for the first time in his tenure as Wolverine, which looks very fitting to him based on the trailers.

We've also seen throughout the MCU that Feige has a fascination with seeing the superhero characters wear a comic-accurate costume at some point in their appearance in the franchise so it's not surprising that it will also happen with Jackman's Wolverine.

It also adds to the excitement for many fans as it makes them more hyped to see Wolverine's return since there will be a fresh take on his role in Deadpool and Wolverine and offers something new that the Fox movies have never done.

It is interesting to see how it all plays out when we see the film on the big screen, and hopefully, the wait will all be worth it in Jackman's entire performance.

Deadpool and Wolverine is set to arrive in theaters this July 26.
