Deadpool 3: Ryan Reynolds Hints Blind Al's Return in Upcoming Installment

We've known for some time now that Marvel Studios has been working on Deadpool 3 with Ryan Reynolds returning as the foul-mouthing mercenary. However, the project didn't have much significant update until recently when it was reported that The Adam Project director Shawn Levy has been tapped to helm the film. There are fans who are wondering if the supporting characters from the first two films will also show up. Now, it looks like it will be the case for one of them.

Leslie Uggams, who plays Blind Al in the Deadpool films, recently posted on Twitter her review of The Adam Project to which she praised Reynolds and Levy's work on the new Netflix flick. Later on, Reynolds responded to her tweet by quote retweeting it with the caption, "Thank you, Leslie. See you soon" along with three crossed swords emoji.

A lot of fans are interpreting Reynolds' tweet as a hint that Uggams might be reprising her role in the third film given that the actor mentioned "See you soon" implying that they will work together again in the near future and has three crossed swords emoji which is an obvious reference to Deadpool's known weapon and the fact that they are doing a third installment.

It is great to hear that Uggams might be appearing in the third film since she became a fan-favorite character in the first two. Deadpool's scenes with Blind Al are some of the highlights of the franchise as they have a lot of great comedic scenes together. It also seems like Uggams is game to return if she ever gets asked.

So far, there are no details yet regarding the third film except that Reynolds will be returning and his production company Maximum Effort involved as co-producer of the project along with Marvel Studios. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the first two films, were hired to rewrite the screenplay. There's no release window set yet for the film.
