It still sounds too good to be true but the next Deadpool movie will be coming from Marvel Studios. However, it is still unclear when the next movie will be released. Nevertheless, fans can rest assured that Deadpool 3 is deep in development now as Kevin Feige shared an update on the sequel.
It's no secret that Deadpool 3 will be coming from Marvel Studios now that Disney has acquired 20th Century Fox. The idea has been an unusual one for fans who were concerned that this means the sequel will be censored heavily due to the change in studios.
Since then, Ryan Reynolds has assured fans that Deadpool 3 will not be affected greatly and will retain the same spirit as the previous movies. In addition to that, Feige admitted that the sequel is now in development and they already have a release window in mind.
Feige is currently promoting Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings but he also spoke about the other MCU projects. When asked if Marvel already has a release window for Deadpool 3, the Marvel boss admitted that the studio is currently considering it.
"We do. The script is in the works and Ryan is working very hard on it with our writers as we speak," Feige told ComicBook.com.
It's great to have an update about Deadpool 3 from Feige himself and it's cool to know that Reynolds is still closely involved with how the project is being treated. After all, the Free Guy star had previously assured fans that he will make sure the sequel will not be a watered-down and hugely censored film. With that in mind, we can't wait to see the Merc with a Mouth again soon.
Deadpool 3 has not yet been given an official release date.
