Dillahunt and Cardellini used to be onscreen partners in ER, playing the roles of the husband and wife, Steve Curtis and Samantha Taggart. So, will these two have a scene together in Dead to Me Season 3?
Garret Dillahunt Joins Dead to Me Season 3
Deadline revealed Dillahunt would play the role of Agent Glenn Morans in the dramedy’s final season. He’s a top-notch detective who will investigate Steve’s (James Marsden) murder.
So, will fans see him and Linda in the same scene? Of course, they will.
Sadly, this will be the last time fans will see the show on the small screen. In a post on Twitter in 2020 after Netflix announced the third season would be the series’ final outing, Applegate wrote she would “miss these ladies.”
“But we felt this was the best way to tie up the story of these women,” she continued. “Thank you to all the fans. We will be getting back to work when it is safe to do so.”

Meanwhile, the new season’s trailer gave fans a quick recap of the first and second seasons. It started with Judy and her former fiancé, Steve Wood (James Marsden), striking Ted, Jen’s now-dead husband.
“Poor little widow, all alone,” Steve mocked. “Cheating husband.”
From there, a scene where Jen hit Steve on the head was then seen, with his body falling into the pool while blood started spilling everywhere.
Jen and Judy seemed to hide Steve’s body inside a freezer. Later, Jen confessed to the police detective Ana Perez (Diana-Maria Riva).

“Judy, I know you think you’re the reason all of our problems started,” Jen told her best friend. “But they existed long before we met. And I’m so glad that we met. You are the best friend I’ve ever known, the best person I’ve ever known.”
Jen then burned Steve’s care, and a montage of Jen and Judy’s sweet scenes was revealed.
The clip then features a new scene from Dead to Me Season 3, where Jen and Judy beg for the doctor, cursing several times, and the latter responds accordingly.

Dead to Me Season 3 will be out on November 17.
