DC's Sweet Tooth Set to Premiere on Netflix Worldwide in June

Sweet Tooth is a new Netflix series that will be arriving soon. The new show originated from the DC comic book series by Jeff Lemire. The story of Sweet Tooth happened ten years after what happened in The Great Crumble. It is an event that wreaked havoc on the world. It led to the emergence of hybrids. These hybrids are born part human and part animal.

Due to how "weird" the situation is, humanity is unsure if the hybrids are a result of a virus. This is why humans either fear or hunt down hybrids. The story of Sweet Tooth follows the story of Gus, a hybrid deer-boy. Gus befriends a loner named Jepperd before going on an adventure to search for answers on Jepperd's past, Gus' origins, and the true meaning of home.

The new Netflix series will star Christin Convery, Adeel Akhtar, Nonso Anozie, Stefania LaVie Owen, Aliza Vellani, Neil Sandilands, Dania Ramirez, James Brolin, and Will Forte. The executive producer for Sweet Tooth is Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey's production company. The series will be directed by Jim Mickle.

Mickle stated that they wanted to create a show that offers escape and adventure. Nature is reclaiming the world in this series. Sweet Tooth is a new take on a dystopian story. The story brings people on an adventure, shows what makes a family, what home really means, why it is important to keep faith in humanity.

Sweet Tooth is set to be released worldwide on Netflix on June 4, 2021.
