DC FanDome Invites Fans Back to the Virtual Event's Second Year

The second year of DC FanDome is coming in 2021. DC is inviting fans to come back and check out the new offerings where they are able to have a glimpse of their favorite television shows, comics, movies, and more.

A tweet from the official DC Comics Twitter has a caption announcing that the global event is back. A video is included in the tweet, inviting fans to participate in the DC FanDome which will remind people to save the date for the virtual return of the event.

The 2020 DC FanDome featured many announcements about the content from the worlds of DC Comics. It showcased Arrowverse, the DC Extended Universe, DC Universe which is later DC Universe Infinite, and WB Games.

In the event, fans are given the opportunity to hear the cast and creators behind the fan-favorite television shows and movies. In 2020, the list of content that was previewed include The Batman, Aquaman, Batwoman, Black Adam, DC Super Hero Girls, Black Lightning, DC's Stargirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Doom Patrol, Zack Snyder's Justice League, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Harley Quinn, Pennyworth, Lucifer, SHAZAM!, Supergirl, The Suicide Squad, Teen Titans Go!, Superman & Lois, Watchmen, Titans, Outsiders, Young Justice, and Wonder Woman 1984.

The development of this event was first made in April 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic led to the cancelation of E3 2020 and San Diego Comic-Con 2020. On June 14, 2020, the Comic-Con was replaced by the Comic-Con@Home. Warner Brothers decided to have a separate DC-themed online convention which is termed the DC FanDome, making it a free immersive virtual fan experience with the 24-hour-long event that happened on August 22, 2020.

DC FanDome 2021 will take place on Saturday, October 16, 2021.
