DCEU Gearing Up for a Big Reveal Before the Year Ends

The DCEU may have went under hiatus after the bomb that was Justice League, but this December will see their return with the Aquaman standalone film. Interestingly enough, the studio is said to be planning a big reveal before the year ends, but we have no idea what it is.

This comes from Revenge of the Fans' Mario Robles:

With Matt Reeves having already finished his script for The Batman, I would guess that they would be making the official announcement for the film. With the next two DCEU movies focusing on lesser known characters, you'd think that they would want to come back to another DC heavy hitter.

Then again, it's possible that these reveals could be a new trailer for Shazam! or our first trailer for Joker. Shazam! is due for another trailer what with its early 2019 release date, and I'm sure the Joker movie already has enough material to give us at least one teaser.

For now all we can do is guess for what the reveal is going to be. I would imagine it's something Birds of Prey related, but that movie is still set to start production early next year. Plus, it would be too soon to give us our first look at Wonder Woman 1984— that movie is still coming out 2020.

Whatever DC has up its sleeves, I'm hoping it's going to be good. Marvel films are fine, but I kind of want to see another franchise rise up to the challenge.

Catch Aquaman in theaters Dec. 21.
