David Harbour Talks His Version of Hellboy, New Image Released

Next year will see David Harbour as the new Right Hand of Doom with the Hellboy reboot, and everyone is curious about how different his character is going to be compared to Ron Perlman's.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Harbour explains:

"It's not an origin story, but it's his coming to terms with where he came from… He's been Hellboy for a long time, but there's a new turn of events at the start of the film, where people start to bring up the fact that he might bring about the end of the world, and it's really the first time he's heard anything like that. The question that comes up in the movie is where does he really belong?"

The issue with Hellboy trying to belong is a constant theme with the character, seeing that he's a demon and he's supposed to work for the ‘bad guys.' I'm actually pretty fond of the character's origin, and it kind of teaches the moral of how you're heritage doesn't necessarily define you.

The first trailer for Hellboy was set to come out tomorrow, but it has somehow leaked early. We don't know if Lionsgate is going to just ignore it or release the trailer officially; either way, we don't have to wait too long before the trailer is officially out.

Hellboy is directed by Neil Marshall and stars David Harbour, Ian McShane, and Daniel Dae Kim. Milla Jovovich has also been cast as the main antagonist—Nimue the Blood Queen.

Catch Hellboy in theaters April 12, 2019.
