David Ayer Approves BossLogic’s Poster for 'Ayer Cut' of Suicide Squad

While a lot of people are excited for the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League, there is also some growing buzz for David Ayer's original take on Suicide Squad. In true fashion, artist BossLogic has come up with a mock poster for "Ayer Cut" of SS, and Ayer approves.

Here's the post:

Just in case you didn't know, Katana was supposed to have a scene in the film where she is taken over by the Enchantress and she goes wild on the rest of the Squad members. We don't know how that scene would have went down, but it would have at least given Katana more to do, seeing as she was kind of sidelined in the theatrical version of the film.

Other things we now about Ayer's version is that it would be generally darker than the colorful film that we got; and what's more, we could have had the version of Joker that Ayer (and probably Jared Leto) wanted us to see. Because, as it stands right now, Joker was one of the most hyped things about the film, and he ended up being one of the worst elements of the movie.

For now we don't know if WB would eventually release an Ayer Cut, but I have a feeling that they're just waiting on the reception of Zack Snyder's Justice League. If anything, Ayer has been very vocal about how ‘easy' it would be to finish his version of the movie, and it probably won't cost the studio (or HBO Max) that much to publish.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is set to come out on HBO Max sometime in 2021.
