Darth Vader Failing to Repeat Dooku Move Disappoints Star Wars Fans

There is little doubt that the penultimate episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi had many moments that had Star Wars fans thoroughly enjoying references and Easter eggs. For instance, it was noted that Darth Vader replicated Starkiller's epic move from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

However, there was another moment when the former Anakin Skywalker was poised to repeat a move he used on Count Dooku but failed to do so. Not surprisingly, fans have extreme reactions to Vader not doing what they were expecting to see.

In Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 5, Darth Vader faced off against Reva and quickly defeated her. Armed with two lightsabers, it looked like Vader was poised to repeat what he did when he had Count Dooku in the same situation in Star Wars: Revenge of The Sith. However, he chooses to stab her in the chest instead.

Not surprisingly, Star Wars fans weren't happy that they didn't get to see another decapitation via two lightsabers.

It's also interesting to note that Vader should have just done a Dooku to eliminate Reva. However, it looked like he had no plans of killing the new Grand Inquisitor just yet which should explain why he only stabbed her.

We also have to remember that Reva isn't expected to die in Obi-Wan Kenobi just yet. After all, there have been reports that the character is getting her own spin-off series which will bring back Moses Ingram as the Third Sister. With that in mind, it looks like Reva will survive her injuries and return in the future.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is expected to conclude with the sixth episode which is simply titled Part VI. However, there are hopes that the show will be renewed for a second season. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The final episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres on Disney+ on June 22, 2022.
