People have been speculating about Wilson Bethel's character in Daredevil Season 3 for quite some time. Luckily, it looks like Bullseye is officially coming to the Marvel series.
The full trailer for Season 3 certainly had everyone talking when it offered a glimpse at the fake Daredevil who is terrorizing Hell's Kitchen. Although we don't get to see Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) square off with the copycat, we get a glimpse of the man in the red suit and his amazing skills. Could this guy actually be Bullseye in disguise?
If the jawline doesn't give it away for you, Netflix has confirmed that Bethel will portray Benjamin Poindexter in the Marvel show (via io9). Comic book fans will immediately recognize the name as one of the deadly assassin's aliases although we were all expecting Bethel to play Lester Jangles.
The idea of Bullseye donning the Daredevil suit is not a new one. However, his storyline in the comics saw the villain actually doing good as he took Matt's place. Although it is not yet confirmed, it is possible that Benjamin has been employed by Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) to terrorize New York and turn Daredevil into a criminal. In addition to that, he might get orders to assassinate Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson). Let's hope Matt will manage to keep Benjamin away from his friends in Daredevil Season 3.
The fight between Matt and Fake Daredevil isn't the only thing that the trailer teased. There's also a brief glimpse of Matt attacking Kingpin, who has finally gotten out of prison and is determined to make life hell for the Man Without Fear. Needless to say, it's going to be a dark, violent, and bloody season for the Marvel series.
Daredevil Season 3 will premiere on Netflix on October 19.
