Daredevil Character Karen Page Set To Return In Season 2 Of The Punisher

Marvel fans might have been devastated after Netflix decided to cancel Daredevil despite its stellar season 3 performance, but it looks like one character from the series is making it into the second season of The Punisher.

Collider just recently visited the set of The Punisher season 2 and during their discussion with showrunner Steve Lightfoot, the entertainment news outlet learned that Marvel fans would get to see Daredevil actress Deborah Ann Woll reprise her role as Karen Page. While he didn't give away any major details about The Punisher's new set of episodes, but Lightfoot did confirm Woll's return.

"That relationship continues to be very important," said the showrunner, talking about Karen Page's relationship with Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal).

Of course, Woll's return to The Punisher barely comes as a surprise to Marvel fans. Karen Page has always had a special relationship with Frank Castle, and the character's played a pretty integral role during the first season of the series.

However, despite the news of Woll's return, there's still the looming concern over the fate of The Punisher, Jessica Jones, and the rest of the remaining Marvel TV series on Netflix. The streaming giant has put a lot of the network's shows on the chopping block the last two months. First, it was Iron Fist, which did great during its second season despite being one of the lowest performing Marvel TV series on Netflix. Then a week after Iron Fist's cancellation the streaming company decided to ax Luke Cage. A month after, Netflix decided to put an end to Daredevil, one of Marvel TV's top performing shows.

Will The Punisher really be safe? Let's wait and see.

The Punisher season 3 debuts on Netflix in January next year.
