Daredevil: Born Again is one of the many productions across Hollywood that is currently shut down due to the ongoing actors' strike as the guild is still negotiating a fair deal with the studios.

While most of the details surrounding the titular hero's own MCU series are still under wraps, it is expected to be a reboot from the previous Netflix iteration despite the return of some of the cast members.

The series is also expected to be the most ambitious yet in terms of the scale since it supposedly consists of a whopping 18 episodes, which is longer than any season of an MCU series or even the past Netflix version.

However, it looks like the series is now undergoing a massive change as Marvel Studios is restarting the project from scratch.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Marvel Studios is overhauling the creative direction of Daredevil: Born Again after letting go of its writers and directors and searching for new ones to restart the project from scratch again.

The decision was made after Kevin Feige and the other executives reviewed the footage that was shot prior to the strike and realized that the series wasn't working.

The previous iteration of the series, which was under the direction of head writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman, was going to lean heavily towards the legal procedural style and Cox won't be in costume as the titular hero until the fourth episode.

Marvel Studios will still keep some of the scenes and episodes while interjecting more serialized elements. Ord and Corman will still be credited as the executive producers of the now two-season series.

There is no update yet on whether they have found new writers and directors who will take over the new version of the series. It is also unknown yet whether the majority of the cast members will remain.

As a result of this overhaul, Marvel Studios is also set to change its TV strategy in general since their previous approach was similar to the films which they realized was not working when producing their TV projects.

This is definitely massive news for not just this series but the MCU in general since it looks like Marvel Studios has listened to the criticisms from both internally and the audience and they are now making these changes to hopefully make their shows work for the better.

One thing that we can hope for now is that the new version of Daredevil: Born Again will be as great as it was promising it to be and it will deliver a satisfying series that fans have been anticipating for years.

While this is concerning at first, this is also an affirmation since Marvel Studios realized their mistakes and they are figuring out the direction that will hopefully work and deliver better quality shows that we deserve moving forward.
