Jenna Ortega is turning a lot of heads thanks to her brilliant performance as Wednesday Addams in Netflix's hit comedy horror series Wednesday. We still don't know if the streaming giant has actual plans of renewing it for a second season but the unprecedented success of the series pretty much gives you an idea that Ortega isn't going anywhere.

Assuming Ortega signs an extended deal to continue playing the character, potentially in a number of seasons, it would be safe to assume that it will prevent her from getting cast in high-profile film and television roles anytime soon. However, a new report claims that Marvel Studios is keeping a close eye on the rising actress.

According to a new scoop from the often reliable insider Daniel Richtman, Daredevil: Born Again will mark the MCU debut of the female iteration of White Tiger aka Ava Ayala. Key details about the role weren't disclosed but Ava is reportedly playing a major part in the upcoming series set for release sometime in 2024.

The report adds that Ortega is the current frontrunner to play the role but as it stands, nothing has been officially confirmed yet. In the comics, Ava becomes the White Tiger after she inherits the amulet from her late brother Hector aka the original White Tiger. It's basically a situation similar to the MCU's current Black Panther storyline where Shuri becomes T'Challa's successor.

Ortega would certainly be a great addition to the MCU but given the immense popularity of Wednesday, Netflix would be foolish to let her slip away that easily and jump ship to another franchise.

Meanwhile, the first season of the Addams Family spinoff series Wednesday is streaming on Netflix.
