Chainsaw Man’s new arc is getting a lot of hype from fans, as well as Fujimoto’s fellow manga authors. This is exemplified by Dandadan author Yukinobu Tatsu as he drew the Chainsaw Man Room 606 sword scene featuring Asa Mitaka.
This scene was a striking one in the manga, both in terms of what it means and its visual impact.
Tatsu’s version of the scene does it justice, all while giving it a different look that fans of both Dandadan and Chainsaw Man will appreciate.
Tatsu’s new illustration isn’t an out-of-the-blue release, though. After all, Tatsu and Fujimoto share a strong connection.

Yukinobu Tatsu and Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Surprising Connection
Yukinobu Tatsu is a well-known manga artist who has gotten a lot of praise over the past two years thanks to his Shonen Jump+ series Dandadan.
Since it began serialization in April 2021, the series has become one of the most popular on Jump+ and Manga Plus. It has gotten acclaim thanks to its exciting story and eye-catching art style.
Before he began the series, Tatsu worked as an assistant for some high-profile titles, including Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Fire Punch and Chainsaw Man.
He worked on Fire Punch alongside Tatsuya Endo (Spy x Family) and Yuji Kaku (Hell’s Paradise). Thus, this group of manga artists has been supportive of each other’s solo works.
For instance, Fujimoto has long recommended readers to check out Dandadan. Meanwhile, Tatsu has drawn Chainsaw Man art before but rendered it in his signature style.

Dandadan Author Yukinobu Tatsu Draws Chainsaw Man’s Room 606 Asa Moment
Now, Tatsu is back with another Chainsaw Man illustration. This time, it’s a drawing of Asa Mitaka/Yoru as she turns Room 606 into a sword in her confrontation with Yoshida.
This illustration is an excellent interpretation of Fujimoto’s work as it features a lot of detail, all while incorporating Tatsu’s unmistakable style.
Because of this, the illustration got tons of attention from fans. In fact, in less than 24 hours, the post on Tatsu’s personal X (formerly Twitter) account got over 50k likes.
Creating tribute illustrations is a fairly common thing for manga artists to do. Previously, we’ve seen Oshi no Ko co-creator Mengo Yokoyari draw an artwork of Power.
Both Chainsaw Man and Dandadan continue to get new chapters on Jump+ in Japan and on Manga Plus internationally.
