Since the manga began back in 2021, fans have been wondering when Dandadan will get the animation treatment. Now though, new reports suggest that a Dandadan anime will be revealed soon.

Of course, there’s no official announcement yet from any production company or studio, but it seems an official Twitter account has been made, indicating a possible reveal soon.

If that is indeed the case, it won’t be too surprising given how popular the manga is as it’s one of the biggest original titles on Shonen Jump+.

Dandadan: The Remaining Big 3 Jump+ Manga Without an Anime

Shonen Jump+ is Shueisha’s digital manga distribution platform, and while it may not be as big as its flagship, Weekly Shonen Jump, Jump+ has already produced many hits.

If you ask fans, Jump+’s success is thanks in large part to its big three titles: Spy x Family, Kaiju No.8, and Dandadan. That’s not counting Chainsaw Man which moved to Jump+ when Part 2 began last year.

Right now, Spy x Family has gotten an anime adaptation that boosted its popularity even more. And next year, Kaiju No.8 will get an anime from Production I.G.

Of these big three, only Dandadan doesn’t have an anime yet. Though there have been many rumors over the past year that an anime will be made, it’s only now that more concrete information has been reported.

Given that the manga is praised for its incredibly detailed backgrounds, it’ll be interesting to see which studio will be selected to work on the series.

There’s no word yet on which studio will make the series, though a new Twitter account named @anime_dandadan was spotted by leakers on Twitter.

Likewise, it’s reported that the domain, anime-dandadan.com, was registered recently.

The domain doesn’t lead to any website yet, but given the timing of the domain and Twitter account being registered, there’s a good chance the show will be revealed soon.

Though it’s not clear when it will be revealed. There might be a surprise reveal sometime in the coming months, but it might also be part of an event like Jump Festa later this year.

While there’s no clear info on the studio, some suggest that a studio like Trigger will be the one to make the anime. But again, that remains to be seen.

In the meantime, new chapters of the Dandadan manga are released every week on Shonen Jump+ in Japan and on Manga Plus internationally.
