Daisy Ridley Wants Murder On The Orient Express Co-Star To Be In Star Wars Episode IX

Before you catch Daisy Ridley in Star Wars: The Last Jedi¸ you can check her out in Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express adaptation. With Ridley returning for Episode IX, she's expressing which one of her Orient co-stars she wants to bring along with her in the final entry to the sequel trilogy.

Ridley first talked about her experience working with Josh Gad who had been hounding her for information in Star Wars earlier this year. She told Good Morning America about Gad:

"Honestly, I didn't know he was a Star Wars fan and then he was doing the videos and I thought, 'These are fun,'… And he was asking quite specific things and I thought, 'Oh, okay.' And then he came in with an AT-AT t-shirt on and I thought, 'Ah! There it is.'"

She also shared that her and Gad were trying to make a video of the same vein with Dame Judi Dench, but Dench couldn't quite remember her lines:

"We did a few with her, literally crying with laughter. Like I thought there was no way we were getting through them… Like, she didn't know what anything was. She kept asking, 'How do I pronounce this?'"

"She put her scarf up, and no one told her to do that, and we said, 'You literally look like a Jedi Knight,' so we're campaigning to get her into Episode IX."

For now we still don't know what Chris Terrio and J.J. Abrams have in store for Star Wars Episode IX, but I can imagine a fun cameo in store for someone like Judi Dench. If the first movie was able to give us small roles for Simon Pegg, Daniel Craig, Kevin Smith, Judah Friedlander, and Ewan McGregor, there's some room there for Dench to appear.

It's probably not a serious campaign, but I'd be amazed if Ridley was able to get Dench onboard for the film.

Star Wars Episode IX comes out December 2019, but you can catch Star Wars: The Last Jedi Dec. 15 this year.
