Daisy Ridley Says She Was “Surprised” By The Last Jedi’s Final Cut

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is just a couple of weeks away from its big premiere and everyone's excited to find out whether or not Rey's (Daisy Ridley) going to join Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and turn to the Dark Side in the highly anticipated sequel trilogy installment.

Ridley's excited as well, but given how a lot of the film comes together in post-production, it's no surprise to hear that the British actress was a bit surprised by the final cut of the film.

Sitting down with Good Morning America, Ridley confessed that she didn't really enjoy her performance in The Force Awakens even though fans really liked her as the Force-sensitive Jakku orphan Rey.

"I don't know if it's ever nice watching yourself," Ridley said, commenting about how she felt watching her own performance in the movie. "I liked the film. The film, I was like, 'Great.' It's very weird. We had spent six months filming and it was over a year later that it came out. It's all these weird memories, and then actually seeing the thing that you did, it's really odd."

She also explained that she was more surprised with the final cut of The Last Jedi than The Force Awakens because of how the film connected storylines together.

"I was more surprised with this one because there's a few storylines that come together," the Star Wars actress elaborated.

Ridley's comments seem like a big hint for fans. The Force Awakens left a lot of questions about Rey, the Resistance, and The First Order, and we're all hoping that The Last Jedi answers most of them this December.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi makes its big premiere on December 15, 2017.
