The Rise of Skywalker will be making its premiere a few weeks from now, and Star Wars fans are curious to see what kind of journey Rey will face in the upcoming movie. The heroine's fate is certainly intriguing, especially since Dark Rey was spotted in a previous trailer which sparked multiple theories. However, Daisy Ridley promises a satisfying ending to her character.
In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Ridley was asked regarding her thoughts about Rey's final journey in The Rise of Skywalker, and whether or not fans will be satisfied with her ending. "Yes. Fully," she answered.
In the process of recalling filming her final scenes, Ridley revealed that, be it alone or with her co-stars, she felt "really filled up with a really satisfying emotion." Speaking from a personal experience, Ridley admitted that "it just felt really right."
"It's not like a big showy ending," she added. The actress said that it's just a "beautiful" and "emotional thing" that she thinks "people will carry with them."
In another interview, Ridley also revealed that it wasn't hard for her to be "upset" while filming the final scene, so much so that she still strongly felt the emotions even after wrapping up the shot. Of course, we don't know what that final scene consists of yet, but she admits that it really was "sad."
It looks like the ending is going to be a pretty emotional one. Needless to say, Star Wars fans will surely hold on to Ridley's comments regarding her character's ending in Episode IX. After all, there would be "a lot to digest" in the film, so it's best to ready yourself for what's about to happen in the movie.
