Say what you will about 2019's The Rise of Skywalker but Lucasfilm did everything it could just so the film would feel like a love letter to the entire Skywalker saga. Apart from all the references and callbacks it had from the previous films that came before it, Episode IX also featured a slew of cameos a lot of fans weren't expecting.

Speaking of, there's apparently one cameo appearance that actress Daisy Ridley has kept a huge secret until now. According to the Rey Skywalker actress, his own father Chris actually appeared in the divisive Star Wars film as a pilot.

Taking to her official Instagram page, the 30-year-old British star posted a photo of him and his father taken at the Oscars, revealing the surprising Star Wars cameo on Father's Day. Of course, considering Daisy's dad wasn't exactly an actor, it would've been hard for fans to spot him in the film but it's still a nice little fun fact to know about.

Meanwhile, following her involvement in the Star Wars franchise, Ridley has been away from the spotlight but rumor has it that the next trilogy will be set post-Skywalker saga and would see Rey make her triumphant return.

Daisy has previously played coy on the possibility of her returning as the Palpatine-turned-Skywalker but the story of her comeback has already written itself. I just wish that Lucasfilm will do a better job at handling the character because there's no denying that the blew all of her potential away.

All nine films of the Skywalker saga are available for streaming on Disney+.
