In case you haven't heard yet, Damon Lindelof and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy are currently working on a mystery film that will reportedly follow the events of Episode IX. Key details about the project remain under wraps but a new report suggests that a familiar face could lead the project.
According to a new scoop from the folks over at Giant Freakin Robot, Daisy Ridley has inked a brand new deal to make her Star Wars return. The outlet's source claims that the Rey Skywalker actor will headline the newly announced film that is said to be set post-sequel trilogy. As it stands, the specifics regarding Daisy's rumored contract have yet to be disclosed.

Ridley, who made her return to social media last April after a six-year hiatus has teased her potential return to the Star Wars universe. Of course, considering The Rise of Skywalker concluded with an open ending that seems to tease what's next for Rey, it would make sense for her to be involved in a future project. It was always just a matter of when and where.
Hopefully, Lindelof and his co-writers are up for the task of redeeming arguably the most divisive protagonist in Star Wars history because let's face it, her sequel trilogy tenure left nothing to be desired to most fans.
