Daisy Ridley on What She Wants to Do Now That She’s Done with Star Wars

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker means a lot to the Star Wars franchise. Not only does the film mark the end of Disney's Star Wars sequel trilogy, but it also means the end of the entire Skywalker saga.

Without any other Star Wars movie to work on after Episode IX, what does the future hold next for Star Wars sequel trilogy actress Daisy Ridley? Speaking in an interview with Variety, Ridley opened up about the future that she wants now that she's completed her work in the galaxy far, far away.

The British actress isn't really looking forward to too much like hoping to be in another major franchise like Star Wars. Instead, Ridley says that she just wants "to be a working actor." Outside of that, all Ridley really wants to do is "to be in good things and work with great people."

Right now there aren't that many major projects lined up for Ridley. The actress is currently doing some voice work as Cottontail Rabbit in Petter Rabbit 2: The Runaway. After that, Ridley will be playing the role of Viola Eade in Chaos Walking. She'll also be starring in Kolma as the character Tamara Kolma and then in the movie A Woman of No Importance as the character Virginia Hall.

Though these aren't films in major blockbuster franchises, we're glad to see projects lined up for Ridley after Episode IX. We hope that the actress also takes some time for herself – she had a bit of a hard time adjusting to the fame that came with her Star Wars role as Rey, after all.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is in its final run in cinemas.
