Say what you will about Disney's Star Wars sequel trilogy but despite its failure to leave a positive mark on fans, at the end of the day, you can't deny that it still had its redeeming qualities. One of which of course is Daisy Ridley's character Rey who pretty much served as the face of the trilogy. Now, The Rise of Skywalker may have marked the end of the storied Skywalker saga but the uber-divisive Episode IX left the door wide open for Rey's potential return to the franchise.

In fact, there have been several rumors swirling over the last couple of years that Ridley will be making her Star Wars comeback. Some suggest that she will lead a brand new trilogy post-Skywalker Saga while others claim that a prequel story for the former Jakku scavenger is also in the works.

Finally, the British actress is breaking her silence on Rey's future in a galaxy far, far away. Making a rare public appearance on the 2022 BAFTA Film Awards, Daisy was asked if she misses playing the equally beloved and polarizing character and whether or not she will be seen in the Star Wars franchise again. Offering a cryptic response, she simply said: "I'll always be Rey." Check it out here:

Daisy's remark wasn't exactly the response we were hoping to hear from her but that's not to say that her days in the billion-dollar franchise are over. If anything, I wanna see Disney redeem the character and give her a more compelling story the next time we see her on the big (or small) screen because frankly, Rey has loads of potential to be a great character, she was just a victim of poor writing.

All nine episodes of the Skywalker Saga are available for streaming on Disney+.
