Cyberpunk 2077 Producer Thinks it Might Be Too Big for Nintendo Switch

Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed from April to September so fans have to wait a pretty long time before the highly-anticipated RPG comes out. The game will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia but many fans have wondered if we could eventually see it on Nintendo Switch, which seems to be everyone's favorite console these days.

Sadly, it looks like there are no plans to bring this game to Nintendo's handheld-console hybrid. John Mamais, the game's producer, told OnMSFT that the title might be too heavy for the game since, well, look at all the things you can do in this game. While Mamais is aware that CD Projekt Red was able to bring The Witcher 3 to the Nintendo Switch, keep in mind that Cyberpunk 2077 is a much more powerful game.

Not as far as I know. Not yet. I don't know if Cyberpunk 2077 would work on the Nintendo Switch. It might be too heavy for it. But then, we did put Witcher 3 on it and we thought that would be too heavy too but somehow we pulled it off.

They could eventually bring Cyberpunk 2077 to the Switch, though it will likely take a big downgrade. As long as the game runs well and is fun to play on the system, then this shouldn't be a problem with anyone. Everyone's loving The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch so they will like Cyberpunk 2077 if/when it gets there.

Cyberpunk 2077 is coming out on April 16.
